After many months our Barrel Aged Gin is finally ready. A special new blend of our gin has been gently aging and after many MANY tastings it is finally ready.
This barrel-aged gin is a truly unique spirit, born from the collaboration between award-winning Waiparore Vineyard Port and the celebrated Papaka Road gin. After being carefully distilled, the gin is aged for six months in Waiparore Port wine barrels, which imparts layers of complexity and richness to its profile.
It blends classic gin botanicals with rich notes of dark berries, dried fruits, and a touch of oak. The aging adds smooth hints of vanilla and caramel, delivering a velvety, warm finish.
This gin is something a little different. Smoky, spicy, woody, reminiscent of a light cognac. Perfect for that late night end of night tipple straight or on ice, or cocktails that suit a deeper mixer (it’s amazing in an Apple Gin Mule) , or a fabulous gift for the hesitant gin drinker in your life that needs luring over from the ‘dark side’ (😂😂- Mike is in love with this one).
